Ita was designed by the famous italian architect Alberto Arigoni, in order to house the german company "Spiedel" which was exploiting the, modern for that time, mineral mines of which the area of Limenaria was so well known. Locals named it "Palataki" because of its individual structure type. it is a two-storeyed building with a characteristic towel built on each side. The frst owners left in 1963

KALOGERIKO is a traditional 19th century building that decorates the picturesque harbour in the area of Limenas. It is a rectangular structured building of two floors made of wood and stone, based on the traditional tracomacedonian architecture. On the first floor there is a representation of the original traditional Thasian household, embroideries, needlecrafts, furnitute, cookware and loom. The ground floor is used by the municipality of Thassos to host cultural events, and gallery exhibitions of Greek and foreugn artists..
